ZrNbTc2 is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zr4+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Tc3- atoms. All Zr–Tc bond lengths are 2.81 Å. Nb2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Tc3- atoms. All Nb–Tc bond lengths are 2.81 Å. Tc3- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Zr4+ and four equivalent Nb2+ atoms.
