Materials Data on SiBi3 by Materials Project
SiBi2Bi is alpha bismuth trifluoride structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional and consists of four bismuth molecules and one SiBi2 framework. In the SiBi2 framework, Si4- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Bi+1.33+ atoms. All Si–Bi bond lengths are 3.32 Å. Bi+1.33+ is bonded to four equivalent Si4- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing BiSi4 tetrahedra.
