Title: Materials Data on U3Cl by Materials Project

U3Cl is Uranium Silicide-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent U sites. In the first U site, U is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Cl atoms. All U–Cl bond lengths are 3.09 Å. In the second U site, U is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Cl atoms. All U–Cl bond lengths are 2.89 Å. Cl is bonded to twelve U atoms to form a mixture of edge, face, and corner-sharing ClU12 cuboctahedra.
