Pd2YbIn is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Pd atoms. All Yb–Pd bond lengths are 2.92 Å. Pd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Yb and four equivalent In atoms. All Pd–In bond lengths are 2.92 Å. In is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Pd atoms.
