LuZrCo2 is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Lu is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Co atoms. All Lu–Co bond lengths are 2.80 Å. Zr is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Co atoms. All Zr–Co bond lengths are 2.80 Å. Co is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Lu and four equivalent Zr atoms.
