HfTc2Sb is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Hf4+ is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Tc+0.50- and six equivalent Sb3- atoms. All Hf–Tc bond lengths are 2.81 Å. All Hf–Sb bond lengths are 3.25 Å. Tc+0.50- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Hf4+ and four equivalent Sb3- atoms. All Tc–Sb bond lengths are 2.81 Å. Sb3- is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Hf4+ and eight equivalent Tc+0.50- atoms.
