TcB is Tungsten Carbide structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tc3- is bonded to six equivalent B3+ atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing TcB6 pentagonal pyramids. All Tc–B bond lengths are 2.22 Å. B3+ is bonded to six equivalent Tc3- atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing BTc6 pentagonal pyramids.
