Materials Data on YbAg2 by Materials Project
YbAg2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Imma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Ag atoms. There are a spread of Yb–Ag bond distances ranging from 3.23–3.45 Å. Ag is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Yb and four equivalent Ag atoms. There are a spread of Ag–Ag bond distances ranging from 2.75–2.92 Å.
