In this paper, we describe our recent work on a series of miscible, model poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) blends with both strongly and weakly-interacting amorphous polymers. Using primarily SAXS, we explore the relationship of intermolecular interactions and diluent Tg on blend microstructure. The relaxation behavior of these relatively well-defined materials will then be described, with particular emphasis on any contributions from the crystal-amorphous interphases. Finally, if time permits, a summary of our parallel study on compositional fluctuations in crystalline blends will be presented.
