The magnetic moment ({mu}{sub {mu}}) and the magnetic moment anomaly (a{sub {mu}} {triple_bond} (g-2)/2) of the muon are related quantities: {mu}{sub {mu}} = (1 + a{sub {mu}})eh/2m{mu}C where m{sub {mu}} is the muon mass. Alternatively, the muon g-factor anomaly can be expressed as a{mu} = R/{mu}{sub {mu}}/{mu}{sub p} - R where R = f{sub a}/f{sub p}, to be determined to about 0.35 ppm from a new muon g-2 experiment, is the ratio of the muon anomalous precession frequency and the proton NMR frequency, and {mu}{sub {mu}}/{mu}{sub p} is the ratio of the magnetic moments of muon and proton.
