Wellsite BTEX control with simple, efficient combustion systems

For the last several years, new regulations concerning BTEX emissions have begun to impact the gas production industry. Targeted sources include the industry`s gas/glycol dehydration systems, most of which are located at well sties or central gas gathering points. Several approaches to solving the problem of BTEX emissions from glycol dehydrators have been tried with mixed success. Condensation systems are less than totally effective in removing these offensive aromatic chemicals. Combustion is the most efficient technology at 98+% destruction. However, many of the combustion systems tried have lacked practicality. This paper presents practical, proven and cost effective combustion systems tailored to glycol dehydration system BTEX control.
