A methodology based on an equation of state approach is proposed for predicting incipient gas hydrate formation conditions in inhibited systems. The methodology could be applied to aqueous systems containing electrolytes and/or methanol. The predictions by the proposed methodology have been tested satisfactorily against recent data on hydrate formation from aqueous electrolyte solutions with methanol.
