Sandia National Laboratories and L2 Communications Corporation Integrated Optical Systems (IOS) - SSG (L3 IOS SSG) collaborated on a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), which allowed the two organizations to address the U.S. Government's need to extend the maturity of current Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensors. Specific and complementary technologies that were demonstrated under this CRADA include: Adaptive Optical Zoom, using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Mirrors (CFRP)(SNL), and Wavefront Encoded Correction of Aberrations from the same (L3 IOS SSG).
