Minimizing the generation and cost of processing low level radioactive waste is a top priority for nuclear power plants. The 17th annual ASME/EPRI Radwaste Workshop focused on the following key issues: wet and liquid waste processing, dry active waste, interim storage, packaging, downsizing, criteria for waste storage, mixed waste, and regulatory issues. The individual papers were processed separately for the data base.
