An induction-type bivane to measure vertical and lateral wind velocity fluctuations

The construction of a rugged bivane to measure lateral and vertical velocity fluctuations is presented. Wind tunnel tests indicate a fairly high frequency response in both directions. Comparison with other conventional meteorological instruments in the field was carried out to determine its accuracy in relation to others.
