Binary complexes of OH {ital X} {sup 2}{Pi} and H{sub 2}/D{sub 2} have been stabilized in a shallow well below the activation barrier to the hydrogen abstraction reaction and identified by laser-induced fluorescence in the OH {ital A} {sup 2}{Sigma}{sup +}--X {sup 2}{Pi} 1--0 spectral region. The characteristics of the OH ({ital X} {sup 2}{Pi}, {ital A} {sup 2}{Sigma}{sup +})+H{sub 2}/D{sub 2} potentials are in accord with {ital ab} {ital initio} predictions.
