The enclosed work is based upon our previous research during this fiscal year, contained in "Construction of Energy Conservation Scenarios: Interim Report of Work in Progress", LBL 7834, June 1978. The objective of this part is to assess the comparative performance and advantages of the various garbage processing or disposal (landfill) techniques, and to address the issue of large scale recycling of waste material.
