Remark on the experimental determination of {vert_bar}{ital V}{sub {ital t}{ital s}}/{ital V}{sub {ital t}{ital d}}{vert_bar}{sup 2}

We propose a method to extract the ratio {vert_bar}{ital V}{sub {ital t}{ital s}}/{ital V}{sub {ital t}{ital d}}{vert_bar}{sup 2} from a measurement of {Delta}{Gamma}/{Gamma} for the {ital B}{sub {ital s}} meson. This method is experimentally more sensitive than the conventional method for large values of {vert_bar}{ital V}{sub {ital t}{ital s}}{vert_bar} but depends on the accuracy of parton level calculations.
