We prepared ordered mesoporous carbon graphitic carbon composites by the brick and mortar fluorinated methodusing F2 and investigated as cathodes for primary lithium batteries. Our resulting materials have a rich array of C F species, asmeasured by XPS, which influence conduction and voltage profiles.
