The report addresses the Indoor Air Quality Act and proposes to establish a national program to reduce the threat to human health posed by exposure to contaminants in the air indoors. The bill provides for expansion of research, development and coordination of Federal programs, with assistance to state programs. Indoor air contaminants include radon, asbestors, volatile organic chemicals, combustion by-products, formaldehyde, smokes and respirable particles.
