A multilaboratory effort to create metrics to describe the state of Surveillance programs was started several years ago. Two versions of metrics have been developed to date-one supported by Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) and the other developed and supported at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). This paper reviews the LLNL metric calculation methodology and compares it with the LANLlSNL methodology.
