The sextupole components in the arc main dipoles complicate predications of the linear chromaticities in the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). In this article, the measured linear chromaticity splits are modeled with the sextupole components in the arc main dipoles. The values for the equivalent average sextupole strength (K2L)dipole,mean in the main dipoles are derived with an offline optics model at Blue ring injection, Blue ring store, and Yellow ring injection. The findings are compared to the b2 estimates from the bench measurements of the magnetic field. Reasons for the discrepancy between them are suggested.
