The Landau theory predicted an infinite family of modes, besides the Langmuir waves, in nonrelativistic plasmas. These modes should decay rapidly as their damping factor is about their oscillation frequency. So they are not observed in equilibrium nonrelativistic plasmas. The aim of this work was to study the influence of relativistic effects on the Landau modes behavior in a T > 5 keV electron temperature plasma. 9 refs.
