This report describes phase studies of the compounds Cd-As and Cd-P systems. In the binary Cd-P system, the compounds Cd{sub 3}P{sub 2}, Cd{sub 6}P{sub 7}, Cd{sub 7}P{sub 10}, CdP{sub 2}, and CdP{sub 4} were revealed, wheras, in the Cd-As system, Cd{sub 3}As{sub 2}, CdAs{sub 2}, and CdAs{sub 4} were found. Cadmium tetaarsenide is reported to be a metastable phase. Of possible joins in the P-Cd-As ternary system only two have been studied: Cd{sub 3}P{sub 2-} Cd{sub 3}As{sub 2} and CdP{sub 2-}CdAs{sub 2}.
