Kaneohe, Hawaii Wind Resource Assessment Report
The Department of Energy (DOE) has an interagency agreement to assist the Department of Defense (DOD) in evaluating the potential to use wind energy for power at residential properties at DOD bases in Hawaii. DOE assigned the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to facilitate this process by installing a 50-meter (m) meteorological (Met) tower on residential property associated with theMarine Corps Base Housing (MCBH) Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii.
