Hydrocarbons in iron ores of the Kerch deposits

For the first time, the presence of hydrocarbons (alkanes, normal alkanes derivatives, alkenes, alkenes derivatives, dienes, aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, esters, aldehydes, ketones, nitriles, and heterocyclic compounds) in unoxidized samples of oolitic {open_quotes}tobacco{close_quotes} ores of the Kerch iron ore deposits has been uncovered. It is shown that the bulk of hydrocarbons {open_quotes}disappear{close_quotes} during the rock oxidation in air. It is assumed that the presence of alkenes in ore interstitions may serve as a buffer preventing the rock from oxidation in situ.
