Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:10164289
The Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) is a high-luminosity proton-proton colliding-beam accelerator, providing access to particle collision energies at least an order of magnitude greater than are available at existing facilities. The SSC will have a maximum energy of 40 TeV in the center-of-mass and a luminosity of 10{sup 33}cm{sup {minus}2}s{sup {minus}1} when completed. This paper will describe the current status of the design and construction of the SSC.
