Corrosion fatigue is one of the last major boiler tube failure problems in subcritical fossil-fired boilers without a root cause solution. The present program was initiated with the primary objectives being to develop a better understanding of the corrosion fatigue mechanism and to generate root cause solutions for existing boilers and guidelines for the design of new boilers. The program consists of several tasks to be reported in a four-volume final report. The present volume summarizes the field testing and stress analysis results.
