Review of geologic controls on natural gas in Cretaceous and Tertiary tight-sandstone reservoirs, Uinta Basin, Utah and Colorado

Conference ·
OSTI ID:10148329
This paper reports results and information generated as part of a 3-year study of gas resources in the Uinta Basin of Utah and Colorado, funded by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and US Geological Survey. The effort is part of DOE`s Western Gas Sands Program. Papers resulting from this study that characterize the rocks are in press or have been published. The USGS is currently assessing the resources of gas-in-place (GIP) in impermeable reservoirs, an effort expected to conclude this year.
