Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:10124192
The Western Area Power Administration (WESTERN) proposes to reconstruct and upgrade (for future 69-kV operation) the existing Limestone-Gering-Bayard 34.5 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between the Limestone Substation north of Guernsey, Wyoming and the Bayard Tap north of Bayard, Nebraska. In addition, WESTERN proposes to rebuild and upgrade the existing 34.5-kV transmission line from the East Morrill Tap at Morrill, Nebraska to the Lyman Substation east of Yoder, Wyoming, and to build a new 69-kV line from a location just west of Bayard to the McGrew Substation south of a McGrew, Nebraska. The rebuild and upgrade and the addition of new line are collectively referred to as the proposed action, and would consist of approximately 129 miles of transmission line. This report assesses the environmental impacts of the proposed action.
