Wind Energy Technology: Generating Power from the Wind (WET) announces on a bimonthly basis the current worldwide information available on wind turbine concepts and design, including the basic science of wind turbine dynamics as well as advanced components and systems research; wind turbine performance; ancillary wind turbine equipment, including system protection and interconnection devices; wind resource identification; wind turbine project planning and development; legal-institutional implications of wind energy conversion systems; and environmental aspects of wind turbines. This publication contains the abstracts of DOE reports, journal articles, conference papers, patents, theses, and monographs added to the Energy Science and Technology Database during the past two months. Also included are US information obtained through acquisition programs or interagency agreements and international information obtained through the International Energy Agency`s Energy Technology Data Exchange or government-to-government agreements.
