Gamma-ray pulsars and Geminga

Observed properties of {gamma}-ray pulsars are related to those of the accelerators which power their radiation. It is argued that the relatively slowly spinning Geminga is a strong {gamma}-ray source only because its magnetic dipole is more inclined than that of the more rapidly spinning Vela. This would also account for special Geminga properties including 180{degrees} subpulse separation, soft X-ray spectra and intensities, and suppression of radio emission.
