The purpose of this training workbook is to familiarize participants with reliable online health information from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and other reputable resources that address disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness. Skills and knowledge acquired in this training class will enable representatives of HBCUs and their communities to effectively train others on the utilization of NLMs resources in an effort to improve health literacy with regards to HIV/AIDS, obesity, hypertension, and good physical and mental health, thereby reducing health disparities.
