Reducing the RF Voltage Requirement by Blowing up the Initial Emittance
- Brookhaven National Lab. (BNL), Upton, NY (United States)
This report discusses findings after reducing the rf voltage requirements for RHIC colliders. Experience with protons showed that increasing the initial Ex from Ex=10 to Ex=20 reduced rf voltage required by about 60%.
