Under the terms of grant FG09-86ER6040 the principal investigator, D. Menzel, is responsible for coordinating activities associated with the conduct of research, sponsored by the Department of Energy, on the oceanography of the Southeast Continental Shelf. These activities include: (1) serving as a contact between program managers at DOE and principal investigators associated with the program, (2) developing and implementing long-range research plans, (3) providing DOE with summaries of the results of past and current research, (4) conducting planning/reporting meetings involving principal investigators and interested agency personnel, and (5) consolidating and scheduling the use of research vessels.
