In the transfer of heat by radiation, the actual role of the gas tanks located outside the convective steam superheater (ConSS) is relatively small. This has an indirect relationship to planning of massive boiler units, in which the dimensions of the gas tanks between the heating surfaces in the gas conduits are rather large. In the calculation and planning variants for the P-57 boilers, the resulting radiative current arriving at the edge of the volume occupied by the ConSS is high. As a result, the actual heat absorption of the ConSS was less than planned value.
