Title: One-dimensional magnetic variety in a family of TTF-bis-dithiolene metal complex compounds. [TTF. MS/sub 4/C/sub 4/ (CF/sub 3/)/sub 4/ (M = Cu, Au, Pt, Ni)]

Conference ·

The donor-acceptor compounds TTF.MS/sub 4/C/sub 4/(CF/sub 3/)/sub 4/, where TTF = tetrathiafulvalene and M = Cu, Au, Pt, Ni, are mixed-stack quasi-one-dimensional magnetic insulators of remarkable variety. For M = Cu, Au, a novel progressive spin-lattice dimerization occurs (spin-Peierls transition). For M = Pt, Ni, ferro/ferrimagnetic chains develop with moderate/weak antiferromagnetic coupling.
