Grid Connected Integrated Community Energy System. Volume 2. Conventional Community Systems. Final report: Phase I, February 1, 1977-May 31, 1977
Existing energy delivery systems showing route, materials, sizes, demands, and capacities of their various systems individually for the conventional community systems at the University of Minnesota, St. Mary's Hospital, Fairview Hospital, and Augsburg College are described. Purchases from area utilities for gas, water, sewer services, oil, and electricity are brought to each owner's main service points. A review of the systems is presented. Specifically, existing electrical distribution; campus electric energy usage (costs); existing steam distribution; solid waste collection and disposal; central heating plants; the 1976 community thermal service demand profiles; thermal production; and thermal production costs are reviewed.
