Renewable resource energy measures and renewable resource aspects of energy audits in the context of the Energy Conservation and Production Act
Tasks II, III, IV, and V are presented in this report. Task II provides a conceptual basis for handling and listing renewable resource energy measures and for the scope, nature of, and requirements for audits related to those measures for buildings and industrial plants. Task II provides recommended language for the Administrator to publish as the rules which apply to the Act in relation to renewable resource energy measures. The purpose and benefits of an energy audit are explained in Task IV. Issue papers presented in Task V deal with energy audits with respect to renewable resource energy measures, performance criteria, bioconversion, solar energy for agriculture and industrial process heat, solar heating and cooling of buildings, geothermal energy, heat pumps, wind energy, passive renewable resource energy measures, useful life, district heating and cooling systems, total energy, and urban solid waste technology.
