BASIC NUCLEAR AND REACTOR INFORMATION FOR THE REACTOR OPERATOR
Basic nuclear and reactor information for the reactor operator is presented in order that the operator will have some knowledge of safe and efficient operation. Some principles of reactor design, construction, and operation are included. Information is given on fission processes, chain reactions, reactor structural components, auxiliary systems, reactor shielding, reactor temperature and pressure measurement, and nuclear instruments.
