A PROPOSAL FOR A NUCLEAR POWER STEAM GENERATING PLANT FOR THE RURAL COOPERATIVE POWER ASSOCIATION ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA
This proposal was submitted by ACF to the AEC for the design and construction of a 58.2 Mwh boiling water reactor contemplated by the Rural Cooperative Power Association of Minnesota. The reactor is supplemented by a conventional coal-fired superheater of 14.8 Mw capability. The rated output of the system is 225,000 lb/hr of 600 psig, 825 deg F steam. Preliminary design data and physical concepts which were the basis of plant performance and cost predictions are included. (W.D.M.)
