Presentation describes research into construction of a time-resolved spot diagnostic using mostly commercial off-the-shelf components, with system requirements to include (among others) comparable or better signal-to-noise ratio than a streak camera; low-loss fiber network, likely less than a few dB; optimized interface to the scintillators; and fast detectors to capture the pulse shape, 500 MHz to 1 GHz analog bandwidth with good linearity.
