NA22 report FY19 Q1
- Lawrence Livermore National Lab. (LLNL), Livermore, CA (United States)
The goal of this project is to perform detail studies of the most influential fission-product (FP)decay properties with unparalleled precision by taking advantage of the unique combination of mass-separated FP beams available at the Californium Rare Isotope Breeder Upgrade (CARIBU) facility at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) and the suite of state-of-the-art experimental systems available there to take advantage of these beams. In this report we present the progress on precision measurements of gamma-ray branching ratios of long-lived fission products and isomer-to-ground state yield ratios for 252Cf fission products. The collaboration is composed of scientists at LLNL, ANL and Texas A&M University.
