Application of a Trapezoidal Filter to Waveforms from Silicone and Germanium Detectors
Abstract
Application of a trapezoidal filter to data from a benchtop measurement and an experiment at DANCE is reported. The measurements were performed with a 252Cf source and sets of two and four Si detectors, respectively, recording the detectors waveforms for offline analysis. In addition, the trapezoidal filter was applied to data from an HPGe detector installed at DANCE. The parameters of the filter were optimized to provide the best energy resolution. The results of the trapezoidal filter are evaluated against the standard waveform-integration method.
