Reduction of Nitrogen Oxide Emission for Lean-Burn Engine Technology Final Report CRADA No. TC-0315-92-C
Abstract
This program was a collaborative multi-CRADA effort between the Low Emissions Partnership (LEP), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and other DOE Laboratories to discover and develop aerogel catalysts as new materials for reducing NOx emissions in advanced lean burn engines. This included finding the most active aerogel catalyst(s), laboratory testing to optimize formulation of this catalyst(s), and producing coated full-scale catalytic converters for engine testing.
