Radiation Physics Aspects of NAL Construction: Prepared for the AEC Advisory Panel on Radiation Safety
This report summarizes the radiation-physics work carried out at the National Accelerator Laboratory as part of the construction of the 500 - BeV synchrotron. The report covers shielding design and estimates of residual radioactivity of the accelerator and external-beam components and structures up to the targets.
