Impacts of Improved Day-Ahead Wind Forecasts on Power Grid Operations: September 2011
This study analyzed the potential benefits of improving the accuracy (reducing the error) of day-ahead wind forecasts on power system operations, assuming that wind forecasts were used for day ahead security constrained unit commitment.
