Our searches for the direct electroweak production of supersymmetric charginos, neutralinos, and sleptons in a variety of signatures with leptons and W, Z, and Higgs bosons are presented. Results are based on a sample of proton-proton collision data collected at center-of-mass energy √s=8TeV with the CMS detector in 2012, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 fb^-1. These observed event rates are in agreement with expectations from the standard model. Finally, these results probe charginos and neutralinos with masses up to 720 GeV, and sleptons up to 260 GeV, depending on the model details.

Associated slepton-neutralino and slepton-chargino production at CERN LEP on LHC

We examine for representative gaugino-Higgsino mixing scenarios slepton-neutralino and slepton-chargino production in deep inelastic {ital ep} scattering at {radical}{ital s} =1.8 TeV. We find sneutrino-chargino production to be the dominant process with cross sections more than one order of magnitude bigger than those for slepton-squark production. Also for associated production of sneutrinos and {ital Z}-ino-like neutralinos the cross sections are at least comparble to those for {ital {tilde l}{tilde q}} production, whereas selectron-neutralino or selectron-chargino production is with cross sections significantly smaller than those for selectron-squark production less favorable. The analysis is based on 139 fb^-1 of proton–proton collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at $$\sqrt{s}=13\,TeV$$. Three R-parity-conserving scenarios where the lightest neutralino is the lightest supersymmetric particle are considered: the production of chargino pairs with decays via either W bosons or sleptons, and the direct production of slepton pairs. A search for the electroweak production of pairs of charged sleptons or charginos decaying into two-lepton final states with missing transverse momentum is presented. Two simplified models of R-parity-conserving supersymmetry are considered: direct pair-production of sleptons ($$\sim\atop{\ell}$$$$\sim\atop{\ell}$$), with each decaying into a charged lepton and a $$\sim\atop{\chi}$$ $$^{0}_{1}$$ neutralino, and direct pair-production of the lightest charginos ($$\sim\atop{\chi}$$ $$^{±}_{1}$$ $$\sim\atop{\chi}$$ $$^{∓}_{1}$$), with each decaying into a W-boson and a $$\sim\atop{\chi}$$ $$^{0}_{1}$$. Searches for the electroweak production of charginos, neutralinos and sleptons in final states characterized by the presence of two leptons (electrons and muons) and missing transverse momentum are performed using 20.3 fb^-1 of proton-proton collision data at $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 8TeV recorded with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. No significant excess beyond Standard Model expectations is observed. Limits are set on the masses of the lightest chargino, next-to-lightest neutralino and sleptons for different lightest-neutralino mass hypotheses in simplified models. Results are also interpreted in various scenarios of the phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model.
