The 57th and North Broadway Streets Site is a residential/commercial area in the vicinity of 53rd Street and North Broadway Street, in Wichita Heights between Wichita and Park City, Kansas. Based on information reviewed, the 57th and North Broadway Streets Site poses a public health hazard because residents and workers are likely to have been exposed to arsenic, benzene, cadmium, and vinyl chloride in well water at levels that could cause adverse health effects. Moreover, some residents and workers at business facilities on site likely are exposed or are likely to have been exposed to benzene, bromoform, dibromochloromethane, 1,1-dichloroethane, 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,1-dichloroethene, tetrachloroethene, trichloroethene, dichlormethane, 1,1,1-trichloroethane and lead in well water and or soils and wastes. However, adverse health effects are unlikely to occur because of the low levels of exposure
