The Albian Blackleaf Formation and the overlying Cenomanian to Turonian lower part of the Frontier Formation in Beaverhead and Madison countries, Montana fold-and-thrust belt. This book describes the Blackleaf Formation which is subdivided into four mappable lithofacies units. The Albian age for this formation was determined from fossil bivalves and palynomorphs.
